Did you know that lobster rolls date back to 1929?
They were first served at a restaurant in Milford, Connecticut.
It wasn’t long before the rolls became popular along the East Coast. Today, these sandwiches are offered at restaurants across the country, including here in Dallas.
Rex’s Seafood Market
When the Bellomy family decided to offer fresh seafood from around the globe, Rex’s was born. The restaurant boasts a 4.5-star rating on Yelp, and the friendly waitstaff makes everyone feel at home. The chefs prepare both Connecticut and New England-style lobster rolls. They can be enjoyed with cheese grits and sweet potato fries.
TJ’s Seafood Market
Named “Dallas’ Best Seafood Restaurant,” TJ’s has been the city’s most trusted source for seafood since 1989. It offers unparalleled service and is a fun place to meet friends for a quick, casual meal. The restaurant comes complete with chalkboard menus and picture windows. For dinner, try the hot Connecticut lobster roll. It’s served on a brioche bun and features thyme, garlic, and drawn butter.
East Hampton Sandwich Co.
The East Hampton Sandwich Co. has been a local favorite since 2012. It first opened in Snider Plaza, and everything between the bread is prepared in-house. The cooks roast the meats daily and make sauces and dressings that both surprise and delight. East Hampton is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The varied menu includes dozens of sandwiches, including the restaurant’s famous lobster rolls. They’re made with Atlantic lobster & claws, herbs, lemon zest, and Old Bay mayo. On the side, try the skinny fries or potato salad.
