While yoga dates back 5,000 years, it didn’t come to the United States until the 1800s.

Today, there are thousands of yoga studios across the country, and the best ones in Dallas include:

YogaSport

At YogaSport, the mission is to provide a connective community that supports the health and personal growth of each student. The instructors make it fun to sweat, and they verbally lead each class giving clarifying spoken clues along the way. The studio is always heated to 90 degrees, and the classes are challenging but accessible to all fitness levels. Power Flow is offered daily, and you’ll leave feeling better than when you walked in.

The Yoga Movement

The Yoga Movement believes that life should be fulfilling and fun. It offers a friendly atmosphere and welcomes those looking to find a renewed quality of life through yoga. The instructors see a benefit to a variety of disciplines, and they make yoga accessible to all ages and athletic abilities. Classes start as late as 8:30 p.m., and choices include Beginner Vinyasa, Gentle Iyengar, and Slow Flow with Deep Stretch.

Private sessions are also available to anyone who wants to learn, heal, or advance through one-on-one attention.

BKS Iyengar Yoga Studio

BKS Iyengar is home to some of the most skilled yoga teachers in Dallas. Found in a 3,000 square foot renovated warehouse, the studio comes complete with hardwood floors, high ceilings, and plenty of natural light. It’s the city’s premier Iyengar destination, and all of the instructors are regularly tested to ensure students enjoy quality classes. Sessions are offered six days a week, and choices include Introduction, Restorative, and All Levels.
